Hi, all, have been having a roller coaster time recently!. My rheummy consultant took me off mx and leflo as my ast level was up, the I had a tooth abcess ans was on ab's. Due to have a root canal filling for that Monday (cant wait!) then began suffering with what I thought was migraines and a gp (not my own) thought it could be the onset of the menopause and told me to stop taking co codamol (eeekkk!) as they could make them worse. She gave me domperidon to take which apparently has a migraine preventer (not the technical term I know!) which I did and got thrush. To top it all I went back to my GP on Thursday to ask for different painkillers if I couldnt take co-codamol as was suffering, to be told my blood pressure is high. So he gave me beta blockers, I took one and half an hour later had a really tight chest (i have well controlled asthma) so I rang the gp and let him know, he apologised profusely and is now contemplating what to do with me now. Shoot me I suggested but he just laughed at that!!! I am book in for an ECG on the 1st September.

Good news is, he doesnt think the headaches are migraines or related to menopause but the high blood pressure. I usually manage to stay upbeat about this horrible illness as I know that there are a lot of people out there an awful lot worse than myself, but I am really starting to get so down about it. Ivev failed on sulphazalazine and now leflu so really dont know what is next. Naively thinking that maybe mx on its own will work!

Sorry to sound off, my family will always listed, but with the best will in the world, they cant totally understand what its like. Im so sick of being in pain and just want my va va voom to come back, I miss it!!!

Hi Heather,

please don't apologise for 'moaning', we have the right to moan. There seem to be quite a few of us suffering at the moment, weird,I say!!!

I bet it was a relief the headaches were due to high blood pressure, easier to sort out hopefully, but sorry you are suffering so much, it's always one thing after another isn't it??

Good luck Heather

Trace xx

Hello Heather

Poor you you are going through it. I would imagine if you are unable to re start mtx again because of your liver you will
qualify for TNF treatment .

I am going through a tough patch and need to shake myself out of it quite a bit lately so I do
understand how you feel.

Never apologise. Keep posting

Hi Heather

Sorry you are having such a bad time just now.

With regard to the high Liver Levels - I have had to stop my meds three times for the same reason, but they always went back to normal and I was able to re-start the drugs. Hopefully, this could be the same for you.

Good pain relief is readily available now and I suggest you see your GP again. It is possible to take a stomach protector with the stronger painkillers and your GP should talk through the options with you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Love Jeanxx

Hi Heather,

Sorry to hear you are suffering like this, it's just one thing after another isn't it?
Like Jean, I have been taken off meds due to high liver enzymes but have been able to restart them with no further problems, so you may be able to get back onto yours.

Hope things start to improve for you soon, and good luck with the root canal treatment on Monday!

Love Doreen xx

Hi all thank you for your replies, it really helps! It certainly is one thing after another with the RA. I have woken up more positive today and am determined not to let it get to me as much any more! Im back to work Tuesday after 6 weeks off (I dont work during the summer holidays) it has been lovely, just pottering, catching up etc etc but maybe getting back into routine will help. Having said that if the lottery comes up tonight, sod the routine Im out of there!!!

thanks again girls, appreciate the support, have a lovely weekend all xxxx
